THE GLOAMING

William C. Risp

The gloaming fast approacheth
Wherein shadows roam the blight
A world ruled ruled by silent things
The creatures of the night
Dusk and darkness fast descend
To claim their rightful boundaries
Subsuming now the world of men
Forged in blackened foundaries
From dusk till dawn as world turns
The Silver Queen she rises
Enchantress from the days of yore
Whose power paralyzes
Illuminate that hidden place
The rest for wayward roaming
Heralding again this night
The silent sigh, The Gloaming
